About us

Incognite is a research group affiliated with the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics at the Czech Technical University in Prague. Our main goal is to carry out quality research in the area of Cognitive Science, an inter-disciplinary field devoted to the study of mind.

We focus on development of embodied cognitive architectures that are based on epigenetic robotics. We adopt both industrial and humanoid robots to make them learn how to understand the outside world. Our focus is on developing general architectures that can autonomously learn new skills, compositionally chain learned skills and autonomously explore the environment to search for new challenges. Our ultimate goal is to create an architecture capable to adapt to the environment without any supervision and gradually increase its capabilities in a way similar to human development.
